Observations of anthropogenic global warming

New research from late 2013

Posted by Ari Jokimäki on January 10, 2014

In March I published a batch of early 2013 papers on climate related issues. In September I gave newly published papers in 5 separate posts:

Part 1. Reality of climate change (temperature, other climate parameters, climate extremes, future projections).
Part 2. Impacts of climate change (cryosphere, oceans, mankind, ecosystems, other issues).
Part 3. Mitigation and adaptation (greenhouse gases, mankind reaction, energy, technologies and products, adaptation, general mitigation).
Part 4. Past climate changes.
Part 5. Other papers (feedbacks and forcings, general climate science, other issues).

In this post I give you a selection of new papers (489 of them) from late 2013. Total number of papers in the research stream for the year 2013 is 1434. Here are the late 2013 papers:

hello, I know you don’t take requests, but… are there already complations on the scientific articles on the c.1500 year (D-O (Bond)) and c.68 year (there should be a separate name for this, I think ) cycles? of course if they’re glacially driven as it seems, a better approach to study these would be to find the areas they originate, and study those in more detail, but… for the statistical approach it might be nice to have a list on proxies that claim to separate these from the other noise.

I do take requests. In fact, I once had a thread for requesting paperlists.

I already have a list on the 1500 year cycle:

Papers on 1500 year climate cycle

But that’s quite short one and outdated. Do you have any examples of the 68 year thing? I remember having seen that but I don’t remember if it’s yet unnamed or if there’s some oscillation name for it. I have some lists for the oscillations. In the paperlist index you can find lists for AO, AMO, and PDO.

Oh. Thanks. I just threw in a number for AMO (the 68, I guess there’s a lot of variation in here), and it might be that all of these decadal scale oscillations people talk about are one and the same, I find it hard to believe they would be disconnected.from each other.
